WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU.
Here are a few important things we want you to know. Arrive 15 minutes early to park, complete your waiver, and get a quick orientation. This gives you time to settle in and ensures everything is set for a great class. If you’re not checked in at least 5 minutes before class starts, we’ll ask you to reschedule for another time to keep things smooth and safe for everyone.
GRAB OUR INTRO OFFERPRE-CLASS PREPARATION
Before your first yoga class, especially if you’re trying hot yoga, here are a few prep tips:
Hydrate well in the hours leading up to your class and drink water during, as hot yoga can make you sweat more than usual. Wear clothes that you can move freely in and that are moisture-wicking to help you stay comfortable throughout your practice. These steps will help you feel your best and get the most out of your session.

PARKING:Â Free street parking is available directly in front of and on the blocks surrounding the studio. Please allow yourself ample time to park.Â
WHAT TO BRING AND WHAT TO KNOW
When you arrive you will be greeted by your friendly instructor and asked to complete a waiver if you haven't already. Please bring a water bottle and clothes to get sweaty in. We have high quality Manduka yoga mats and mat towels for you to rent or purchase at the studio. We have a restroom for you to freshen up in post-class.Â
BE READY TO GET SWEATY
Prepare to embrace the sweat in our hot and warm classes! The infrared heat we use helps to deeply relax your muscles, enhance flexibility, and promote a thorough detox through sweating. As you acclimate to the heat, remember that it’s perfectly normal to feel drenched. To make the practice your own, take it at your own pace, use modifications as needed, and stay hydrated. It takes a few weeks of steady practice to fully adjust to the heat, so give yourself grace and enjoy the journey.
NERVOUS? WE'VE GOT YOU.
It’s completely natural to feel a bit nervous before your first class, but remember, you’re not alone! Our instructors are all too familiar with what it’s like to be a beginner and are here to guide and support you every step of the way. At yogaRIOT, we pride ourselves on our welcoming and inclusive community, where everyone is encouraged and celebrated. Take a deep breath, know that you’re in good hands, and let us help you find your rhythm and confidence on the mat.

Be patient and kind to yourself as you dive into your first class. Remember, the goal is to own the class—not to be overwhelmed by it! It’s completely normal to feel a bit awkward when trying something new, so tune into your body, ask questions, and give yourself time to stretch and hydrate afterward.
