Beginner Yoga Series
Every Wednesday evening, 7:00pm-8:00pm, April 9th-April 30th
$75 for all four weeks
Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but you don’t know where to start? Does it feel intimidating to drop-in to a yoga class not knowing what to expect? Do you feel physically uncertain if you can even get into a yoga posture?
Join Georgia Port and Brittany Moss in this four week beginner yoga series designed to support anyone who has ever wanted to try yoga in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Throughout this series each class will build on the week before ~ step by step guiding you through: safe & correct alignment in basic yoga postures; how to connect your breath to the poses; and discussion of the key concepts of yoga and why we practice.
Class size is small, allowing space for each student to receive the individual attention and help needed to learn how to practice basic yoga postures safely.
This is an open and collaborative environment, there will be ample time for your questions, and we will work together to build a practice that best serves you. This series will give you the tools to begin your yoga practice safely, confidently, and comfortably.
Intro to Mobility Series
with Audrey

This series is a deep dive into foundational mobility exercises, and is great for beginners as well as those with established movement practices.
Adding mobility work into your regular movement routines helps to increase range of motion, enhance balance, create stability in the joints, aid in injury prevention, and improve recovery time post workout.
Each week will target a different body group:
Week One: Upper Body (neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists)
Week Two: Spine
Week Three: Hips
Week Four: Lower body (hamstrings, knees, ankles, feet)
Learn how to build strength at range & how to meet the demands of everyday life with more freedom & integrity.
Class will be a combination of learning the foundational mobility exercise for each body group, and a mobility inspired yoga flow. All levels are welcome!
Date & Time:

Frequently asked questions about mobility:
What is mobility? Mobility involves our joints’ ability to move freely and actively. Mobility exercises stretch and strengthen the connective tissues around our joints to increase their range of motion.
Is it the same as stretching? Stretching involves deliberately lengthening the muscle to achieve an extended range of motion. Mobility is the ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion. Mobility is stretching the muscle using strength to control the movement through our safest range.
We need both active and passive range of motion. Active will always be less but with mobility work, the goal is to get closer to passive with active range. Mobility helps us find more range with more control.
Range of Motion: the degree of movement a joint has available.
Flexibility: the ability of a muscle or muscle groups to lengthen passively through a range of motion.
Mobility: the ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion.
Why do we need it? Mobility can help enhance our exercise practices like yoga, running, weightlifting, walking, and more by helping us move more safely and dynamically. Mobility can also help us meet the demands of everyday life more easily whether it’s picking up your kids, playing with your dog, gardening, or everyday household chores.
