InTensions For Good

On Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, join us for two donation-based classes at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM to support our instructor Nick Harris' nonprofit, InTensions for Good. Nick’s mission is to provide essential supplies, food, clothing, and other necessities to houseless individuals in the Portland area during the holiday season.

100% of the proceeds from these classes will go directly to this meaningful cause. Let’s come together, practice with purpose, and make a real impact in our community!

Beginner Yoga Series

Every Wednesday evening, 7:00pm-8:00pm, January 8th-January 29th

$65 for all four weeks

Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but you don’t know where to start? Does it feel intimidating to drop-in to a yoga class not knowing what to expect? Do you feel physically uncertain if you can even get into a yoga posture?

Join Eila Gustina and her teaching assistant Brittany Moss in this four week beginner yoga series designed to support anyone who has ever wanted to try yoga in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Throughout this series each class will build on the week before ~ step by step guiding you through:  safe & correct alignment in basic yoga postures; how to connect your breath to the poses; and discussion of the key concepts of yoga and why we practice.

Class size is small, allowing space for each student to receive the individual attention and help needed to learn how to practice basic yoga postures safely.

This is an open and collaborative environment, there will be ample time for your questions, and we will work together to build a practice that best serves you. This series will give you the tools to begin your yoga practice safely, confidently, and comfortably.

FULL MOON SOUNDBATH

Join us for a transformative sound bath journey under the mesmerizing light of January's full moon, the Wolf Moon.  The full moon is a perfect time to release what no longer serves you while inviting in what is for your highest good and well-being.

Immerse yourself in the harmonious sounds and waves created by gongs, Tibetan bowls, singing crystal bowls, crystal pyramids, and chimes. Let these sounds guide you into a meditative state, where you can relax, quiet your mind, and rejuvenate your spirit.

Meet the Teacher
My name is Gabrielle, and I am a sound bath facilitator. Sound baths offer another wellness modality that aids in increased focus and mental clarity, better sleep, calming of the body and mind, connection to self, meditative and / or relaxed state of being, and lowering overall stress and anxiety.

A wee bit about me:  I play various instruments at my sound baths:  gongs, singing crystal bowls, tuning forks, crystal pyramid, steel tongue drum, and chimes.  Regularly attending sound baths continues to benefit me enormously by slowing my brain down, helping me be present, release stress and energetic blockages, and find my best self in calmness in this very distracting and busy world.

At my sound baths, I create a serene space of calm, where the vibrations of the sounds guide us from alpha to theta, and potentially delta brain waves, and then ease back out again.

Intro to Ayurveda & Healthy Living

with Abby Flynn

Saturday February 8th 4-6:15pm

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga and allows us to have a deeper understanding of what it means to truly live in a healthy body.

Throughout this workshop, you will learn the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda which include how to understand your unique and individual body type so that you can best create an optimal lifestyle.

We will also learn how to work with the different cycles that occur in your inner and outer world, how to create a dinacharya (daily self-care morning and evening routines), and also learn the importance of having a sadhana (spiritual practice).

Through all of these tools, you will learn how to keep your body in an optimal state of balance.

We will end the workshop with a gentle breath and movement practice that will allow you to tune in to your body and align with the season.
